«Open mind Yachting» provides boat tuition for owners who would like to learn more about their new yacht, or consolidate their knowledge of a boat already owned for a while. We are attentive to your objectives and the tuiton will entirely be shaped to what you want to achieve.

As a new owner, signing on one of our qualified and experienced skippers for a few days at the start of your ownership will take the pressure off. It will make the whole experience much more enjoyable.

Most importantly, own boat tuition gives you the opportunity to learn a skill of your choice

intensively, and intensive repetition is one of the best way to master a specific skill.

We have found own boat tuition invaluable to many boat owners who want to :

• Understand specific handling characteristics of a new yacht.
• Learn how to handle a larger or unfamiliar yacht.
• Handle the yacht shorthanded or with the people you normally sail with.
• Familiarize themselves with new surroundings or marina 
• Learn how to work on board together as a couple or family.
• Avoid trying to teach their own family how to sail.
• Understand onboard systems and be guided on levels of maintenance.

One advantage of training on your own yacht is that you have the flexibility to run the tuition at your own pace and without unnecessary consideration for other students that you would meet on an open course.
