Pre-delivery/Planning :

At this stage we will discuss with you and get a clear view of your expectations and requirements.

Consequently we will send you a price quote and a time frame. Once an agreement has been reached and that everything is transparent for both parties, we will then activate the crew that will take care of the delivery.

They will start to check the boat and make sure that she is ready for the passage : everything will be checked from masthead to bottom as nothing will be left to chance. Any malfunctions will be reported to you.

Small jobs will gladly be done by the crew to prevent you having to pay for expensive professionals or marine maintenance companies.

Prior to departure, vulnerable areas of the interior will be protected to avoid damage and keep the boat immaculate. It is a long process but very worthwile especially if the boat is brand new.

Weather will be also carrefully monitored before the voyage allowing us to choose the best weather window in order not stressing the boat too much.

On Passage:

Once at sea the skipper judgement is never questioned. He will take the best decision to make sure the boat is never in danger, safety of the boat and the crew will always be paramount. Delivery skippers are known to be some of the best in the world.

All of our skippers are carefully selected by us and we fully trust them. A delivery skipper will know a boat capacity and will not push it beyond it’s limits. If the skipper decides that the conditions are too rough, he could make the decision to anchor or call at a port of refuge for one night or more depending of the weather forecast.

Post-delivery:

Once the delivery is completed the skipper will write a full report about the condition of the boat so the owner will have a clear picture of the yacht state on arrival.

The skipper would also had completed a log during the delivery that would be available to you.

Last part of the delivery will be a full clean up of the yacht. We make sure at “Open mind Yachting” that when skipper and crew leave the boat she is in immaculate condition and ready to sail for your next use.
